Below-the-hook barrel lifter to transport drum in upright position. Your drum is supported on a bar at the bottom and secured in the drum holder with a chain around the drum. This below-hook barrel lifter attaches to your monorail, crane, or chain block. You may also attach barrel lift to forklift using Morse Fork Hook.

Use 90 Series hoist attachments to grab and lift your drum. Then move and place your drum almost anywhere.

Load a drum to and from remote or hard-to-reach areas

1. Attach the Verti-Karrier drum grab to your hoist or crane
2. Move drum lifter and lower onto the top of drum
3. As the drum grab is elevated it grips drum automatically
4. When the drum is lowered to the ground, the drum grab carriage drops down and automatically locks in the open position, releasing the load
5. The Verti-Karrier drum grab is then ready to lift another drum

The grip will not disconnect until drum is fully down. You only need to operate your hoist to guide drum grab into position. This saves operator time and protects against dangerous climbing.

Capacity: 1,000 Lb. (454 kg). Each 90 Series Verti-Karrier is load tested at the factory at 125% of rated capacity as per American National Standard ASME B30.20 and a load test certificate is enclosed with each unit.

Model 90, 90M and 90-SS are sized for your 55-gallon steel drum. They have 3 different settings, and should be adjusted to grip the sidewall under the rim of your drum. Set in the top hole it will grip to 22-1/16”, middle hole to 22-3/16”, and bottom hole to 22-7/16”.

Morse Verti-Karrier Drum Lifter Series are NOT for drums without lids or tops in place.

90 Series Verti-Karrier Drum Lifters

This drum lift allows you to:

• Lift a steel 55-gallon (208 liter) drum and place it into an overpack or salvage drum
• Lift steel 85-gallon (322 liter) overpack drum
• Lift closed salvage drum

An effective and simple-to-use drum lift with carefully designed ice-tong-like geometry and broad faced, thin profile grippers.

Its broad grippers spread, holding force to minimize pressure on drum. The narrow profile enables it to lower drum completely into an overpack drum.

Each model 91 Drum Lifter is load tested at the factory at 125% of rated capacity as per American National Standard ASME B30.20 and a load test certificate is enclosed with each unit.

One drum lifter to do it all! Model 92 has self-adjusting tong-like action to lift a rimmed steel, plastic or fiber drum.

These drum lifters automatically grip various common types of closed head drums. Lift a drum to or from four-drum pallets or rows of adjacent drums.

Model 92 Drum Lifter Handles

• Steel or Plastic rimmed drum 18" to 26" (46-66cm) diameter

92 Series Drum Lifters

• Model 92 is made of carbon steel
• Model 92-30 is for 15" to 23" diameter rimmed drum
• Model 92M has spark resistant parts made of monel
• Model 92-SS is made of type 304 stainless steel
• Model 92-5 is sized for a 5-gallon pail with 11" to 15" diameter, and has 1,000 Lb. capacity

NOTE: Bottom of the drum rim must be within 1" of the top of the drum. Weight of drum contents must not exceed drum manufacturer's packing limit. Drum lid must be properly secured

Use model 92 barrel lift to place your 55-gallon drum into an 85-gallon overpack drum or salvage drum.

41 Series Drum Lifting Hook

Model 41 Drum Lifting Hook is used to lift a horizontal 55-gallon (210 liter) steel drum, 34" to 36" (86-92 cm) long. This Drum Lifting Hook has an alloy steel lifting ring, steel rods, and malleable iron hooks. It adds 10.6" to the height of your apparatus when lifting a horizontal drum (measured from the drum rim to the inside top of the lifting eye).

Capacity: 1,000 Lb. (454 kg).

Model 41M has spark resistant parts

• Similar to Model 41 with the same 1,000 Lb capacity
• Rods are stainless steel
• Lifting ring and hooks are spark resistant aluminum/bronze alloy

Model 42 Drum Sling is a heavy duty drum lifter for use on your hoist hook or fork mounted hook. Forged hooks are shaped to engage the rims at opposite ends of  drum. Alloy chain, links and lifting rings are combined with heavy duty steel rod and welded eyes to provide a heavy duty assembly.

Model 42 Drum Sling has a pair of alloy steel lifting rings for two modes of lifting, as shown at left.

Drum Sling

Drum Sling allows two lifting modes

1. Horizontal Mode

• Use lifting ring connected to rod and chain at middle of assembly
• Lift horizontal drum without changing its horizontal orientation

2. Off-Vertical Mode enables upending and downending drum

• Use lifting ring on outer end of alloy chain
• Lift horizontal drum and have it hang off-vertical
• Lift vertical drum by placing rod end hook under bottom rim of drum.
  As upright drum leaves floor it tilts to off-vertical position.
• Lower drum until its bottom corner meets floor, then guide drum to settle upright or allow it to tilt down to horizontal

42 Series Drum Slings

• Model 42 alloy chain, links and lifting rings; steel rod; welded eyes
• Model 42-G is same style drum lifter with hot dip galvanized finish

Each Model 42 and Model 42-G Drum Sling is load tested at the factory at 200% of rated capacity as per American National Standard ASME B30.9 and a load test certificate is enclosed with each unit.

Morse below-the-hook drum lifters

Morse below-the-hook drum lifters (i.e. Models 85A, 185A, 90, 41, etc.) are manufactured by Morse Mfg. Co., Inc. in East Syracuse, NY 13057. These drum lifters comply with American National Standard ASME B30.20 standard for mechanical, below-the-hook lifting devices as it applies to the following:

• Rated load markings and unit identification
• Minimum design safety factor of 3, based on yield strength, for load bearing structural components
• All welding is in accordance with ANSI/AWS D14.1
  and ASME BTH-1
